India beat Pakistan in super 8 match of T20 world cup 2012

Though India continued their terrific form against Pakistan in World Cup (both ODI and T20) and crushed their archrivals by 8 wickets yesterday in Super 8, still a lot has to go RIGHT before we make it to semifinals of T20 World Cup.
It was a do-or die match for India, as they lost their first Super 8 match to Australia and if we had lost this, game was over.
Dhoni's boys held their nerve, Virat Kohli continued his dream run and bowlers did everything right as the Premadasa stadium erupted as soon as Yuvraj Singh hit the winning runs off Saeed Ajmal.
But we are not there yet. Currently India is in 3rd position behind Australia and Pakistan according to run rate.
India needed to win yesterday match in 19 balls to be at 2nd position but India won with 18 balls to spare.
Now to make it to the last 4, India has to beat S Africa and hope that Australia beats Pakistan.
However if India loses to S Africa, and Australia beats Pakistan, there will be a three-way tie for the second slot, which will be decided by net run rate.
If India beats S Africa and Pakistan beats Australia, net run rate will again come into play.
The road is still tough ahead but as they say fortune favors the brave and Indian fans and players will be hoping the same.
In yesterday Super 8 match of T20 World Cup India defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets and 18 balls left.
Virat scored an unbeaten 78 off 61 balls. L Balaji took 3 wickets, R Ashwin took 2 wickets.
Yuvraj too showed why Dhoni has faith in him. He took 2 wickets in 3 overs giving away just 16 runs. He also ran out Yasir Arafat and then made 19 runs and scored the winning runs as well.
Virender Sehwag was also brought back who made 29-runs off 24 balls hitting four fours at crucial time when Gambhir was dismissed at duck.
He along with Kohli added 74 in 61 balls for the second wicket. But then Yuvraj shared a 54-run stand with Kohli that took India home.

Australia vs South Africa ICC T20 World Cup 2012 Live Match & Highlights

On a roll with an all-win record in the World Twenty20 so far, a rampaging Australia would look to beat a demoralised South Africa and seal a semifinal berth in their second Super Eights match on Sunday.

The George Bailey-led side`s nine-wicket win over 2007 champions India on Friday must have done a world of good to their morale after topping Group B with wins over Ireland and the West Indies and they would start as favourites on Sunday.

South Africa, on the other hand, would have to regroup after they shockingly let slip the Super Eights game against Pakistan from a winning position. The Proteas virtually had the game in their bag before allowing Umar Gul to run away with the match later.

The South Africans cannot repeat such a costly mistake against Australia on Sunday as that would mean exit for them and would only strengthen the "chokers" tag labelled on them in big tournaments.

Australia are the in-form side in the tournament with the top-order batsmen in roaring form and the frontline bowlers among the wickets.

The main worry for South Africa would be how to stop the swashbuckling Australian openers Shane Watson and David Warner, who have become the most successful pair in the T20 Internationals, from dictating terms on their bowlers.

The duo mercilessly sent the Indian bowlers on a leather hunt in their side`s nine-wicket mauling in their first Super Eights match on Friday.

Veteran Mike Hussey has also done his bit at one down though the marauding openers have not given him much chance to play his usual role of the `man in crisis`.

The fast bowlers -- Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Watson -- also came through against India as they produce pace and bounce on a slowish Premadasa strip though they were expensive against the West Indies in their group match.

Left-arm spinner Brad Hogg has taken two wickets from the three matches he has played so far and without being expensive and he can be handful if the pitch assist slow bowlers.

If there is any cause of worry for the Australians, it could be their middle order batsmen as they have not been tested in the tournament since they have not got the chance in the three matches so far.

South Africa should blame themselves for the heart-breaking loss against Pakistan as they allowed number nine batsman Umar Gul to hit a 17-ball 32 to take his side to victory after being reduced to 76 for seven.

Faced with a do-or-die situation South Africa would be looking up to fast bowler Dale Steyn and veteran all-rounder Jacques Kallis to come up trumps on Sunday while also hoping that the top-order, including Hashim Amla, post a big total.

Amla and his opening partner Richard Levi have not done much in the two matches after remaining not out in the group match against Zimbabwe and they need to fire against Australia if they want to stay afloat in the tournament.

The Proteas have a solid batting with the likes of Kallis, J P Duminy and captain AB de Villiers coming down the order but they could score just 133 against Pakistan on Friday.

In the bowling front though, it will be interesting to see who does better tomorrow between a relatively inexperienced Australians and the South Africans who have veteran fast bowlers in the likes of Steyn, Kallis and Morkel brothers.

In the spin department, another veteran Johan Botha has not done much in the three matches he played so far, having taken just one wicket but he can come in handy at the slowish Premadasa pitch on Sunday.

Teams (from):

Australia: George Bailey (Capt.), Dan Christian, Pat Cummins, Xavier Doherty, Ben Hilfenhaus, Brad Hogg, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Glenn Maxwell, Clint McKay, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Shane Watson, Cameron White.

South Africa: AB de Villiers (Capt.), Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Johan Botha, Dale Steyn, Jean-Paul Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Jacques Kallis, Richard Levi, Albie Morkel, Morne Morkel, Justin Ontong, Wayne Parnell, Robin Peterson, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

England Beat New Zealand By 6 Wickets in Super 8 Match

England defeated New Zealand by six wickets in their Super Eight game at cricket’s World Twenty20 championship in Sri Lanka.
Luke Wright scored 76 runs as England reached its victory target of 149 with seven balls remaining in Pallekele. Earlier, Steve Finn took 3-16 as the defending champion limited New Zealand to 148-6.
England has two points in Group 1 to tie West Indies and host Sri Lanka, who play later today. New Zealand has lost both of its games in the Super Eight stage.
The World Twenty20, generally held every two years, is the championship of the game’s shortest form. The Super Eight consists of two groups of four, with the top two teams in each advancing to the semifinals.

Pakistan vs India T20 World Cup 2012 Super 8 Match

World T20: India vs Pakistan on Sep 30 will bring life to a standstill in both countries

Every World Cup has its share of matches that generally tend to overshadow the essence of the tournament, primarily on account of the rivalry between the teams and in some cases the “over the top” jingoism that sometimes accompanies it. An India-Pakistan cricket match offers that and more. Pakistan’s emphatic win over Bangladesh, has ensured that folks in India and Pakistan will be glued to their TV sets from 7.30 pm IST onwards, when the two teams clash in the Super Eights on September 30. As always, life will come to a standstill in both countries when the two teams are battling it out in the middle.

Pakistan already have a win over India, albeit in a warm-up match, earlier in the tournament. However, warm-ups don’t quite have the same flavor that a red hot match of consequence has. Both teams will be working on their strategies to get it right, including making clichéd statements to the press like “We are treating this as any other match. Our focus is to make it to the semis by playing well in all matches in the Super Eights.”

India’s main cause of concern has been its bowling. The way they demolished England will perk them up. However, it’s a totally different scenario when you play teams like Australia and South Africa, all of whom have players who are part of IPL teams. Choosing a team with the right balance and death over bowling has always been MS Dhoni’s headache. Add to it the issues around Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan’s form, the Indian captain has his plate full of challenges. However, when it’s a case of Pakistan, he might err if he does not pick Sehwag. His record against Pakistan and the impetus that he provides should be more than enough to get things rolling for India. Rohit Sharma back in form must also be a huge relief to the Indian captain.

Pakistan has one of the better bowling attacks in this World Cup, and their batting hasn’t been seriously tested. Saeed Ajmal continues to be their star in getting wickets or just keeping the run rate down. It’s not without reason he is the best in this format of the game. Mohammed Hafeez will be banked upon to continue his all round show, including his “hop, skip, stop and deliver” routine. The Indians could do well and slow down Shahid Afridi who has a penchant of getting through his overs quickly. In the T20 format this could work on the batsman from a pressure standpoint since you are suddenly staring down the barrel of the final overs before you know it.

And there’s always that bit about Pakistan never having beaten India in ICC tournaments and the ill-timed “Missed Bah” scoops that cost them the World Cup against India and a place in T20 History. It’s a match for the books and even the Gods might want to hold off any showers that they may have planned at this time.

Stay tuned…

Australia Beat India by 9 wickets in Super 8 Match

Colombo: It was cake walk for Australia to defeat the Indian team who sweated to make a score of just 140 runs in 20 overs.  Australia reached the target losing only a single wicket and the balls remained was 30.  Shane Watson who scored 72 runs was given the man of the match award.  Australia won the match by 9 wickets. David Warner remained not out on 63 at the end of the match.  He scored 63 runs facing 41 balls.  He hit seven fours and three sixes.
India won the toss and elected to bat first.  Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan opened the innings for India.  Gautam Gambhir hit a four in the first over.  The first damage for India was in the form of Gautam Gambhir’s wicket.  He was run out when India was 21.  He scored 17 facing 12 balls and hit 3 fours.  Virat Kohli managed to move the score board and at the end of seventh over India was 56/1.  Kohli was caught by Dan Christian in the eighth over when the score was 80.  He scored 15 runs.  Eleventh over was not good for India as it has lost the wicket of Irfan Pathan (31 runs in 30 balls with two fours and one six) and Yuvraj Singh.  In the consecutive over Rohit Sharma was out after scoring only one run.  Indian skipper also could not make much runs and lost his wicket for 15 runs.  He faced 21 balls.  In the 20th over Suresh Rain was out at an individual score of 26 runs.  India could only make 140 runs by losing 7 wickets.  Not a very challenging target for a team as strong as Australia.
Australia’s inning started off with the openers scoring nine runs in the first over.  Australian bats men played well and the sore of their team touched 100 in the tenth over and they have not any wicket till then.  The wicket of Australia fell in the 14th over when the score on the board was 138.  Shane Watson was out in the bowling of Yuvraj Singh at an individual score of 72 runs.  Australia only needed three runs at that time.  The next batsman who came was Glen Maxwell and hit the run needed for the win.

Pakistan Beat South Africa by 2 Wickets: T20 World Cup 2012

A fiery cameo by Umar Gul and sensible show by Umar Akmal helped Pakistan snatch victory from the jaws of defeat of South Africa in the Super Eight clash of the World Twenty 20 in Colombo on Friday.

Chasing 134, Pakistan at one time were struggling at 76/7 in 14.3 overs, before Gul executed a brilliant turnaround with his big hits.

Gul scored 32 off 17 balls with the help of three sixes and two boundaries before falling on the final delivery of the 19th over, leaving his side needing nine in the last over.

Akmal, however, didn't let Proteas rule and smashed Morne Morkel for a six to ease pressure. Saeed Ajmal then hit the fourth ball for a boundary to secure a brilliant two-wicket win.

Dale Steyn who earlier dismissed Imran Nazir, scalped Arafat.

JP Duminy gave Pakistan sixth blow by dismissing Shahid Afridi just after Jacques Kallis send back a struggling Shoaib Malik. Malik scored just 12 after facing 26 deliveries.

Earlier, Robin Peterson dismissed skipper Mohammad Hafeez (15) and Nasir Jamshed (0) in quick succession after Dale Steyn got rid off Imran Nazir (14) to reduce Pakistan to 31/3.

Steyn got opener Nazir caught by de Villiers near boundary line while both Hafeez and Jamshed was stumped out.

Kamran Akmal was the fourth batsman to fall at the score of 37 in the seventh over. Akmal was bowled out by Johan Botha.

At the score of 63, Kallis got Malik caught by Dale Steyn in the 12th over. Before addition of any run on the board, Duminy scalped Afridi to leave Pakistan reeling.

A brilliant performance by Pakistan's spin quartet helped them restrict South Africa to a mediocre 133 for six in their Group 2 Super Eights match at the ICC World Twenty20 on Friday.

South African captain AB de Villiers' decision to bat first backfired badly on a slow Premadasa track that saw Pakistan's opening bowler Umar Gul being brought into the attack in the 18th over of the innings.

Skipper Mohammad Hafeez had impressive figures of two for 23 while Saeed Ajmal gave only 26 runs in his four overs while taking the wicket of Richard Levi. Left-armer Raza Hasan and legspinner Shahid Afridi too were economical.

Seamer Yasir Arafat also used variations to good effect taking two for 25 in the process.

Jean-Paul Duminy, with an useful 48 off 38 balls, was the only South African batsman who was able to play a responsible innings. He struck two sixes and two fours. His 44-run partnership for the fifth wicket with skipper De Villiers, who contributed 25, helped South Africa reach a total which had some respectability.

After Hashim Amla was dropped by Kamran Akmal off left-arm spinner Raza's bowling, the world's premier batsman couldn't cash in on the opportunity as he offered a catch to Shoaib Malik in covers after Arafat had bowled a slower delivery. Amla made only six.

The dangerous Levi was the next man out after scoring only eight off nine deliveries when he went for an ugly reverse sweep to get bowled round his legs.

The slowness of the pitch increased the woes for the Proteas who found it increasingly difficult to hit the big shots. Even young Raza was difficult to get away as he gave only 12 runs in his three overs, including a maiden.

Top Ten Antivirus Ratings

Most of these antivirus software have been tested extensively for their performance. The old versions have received ratings based on the performance to quickly detect viruses from infected systems and stop new viruses from infecting the computers. There is a very strong criteria that will be used to provide points to various antivirus software 2012. Another interesting factor that we are considering is the antivirus coupons, we will give scores to antivirus software companies that offer discount coupons from time to time. Although this is not a major factor, but many users value coupons because it is a good way to save money on security software. Although this factor will not inflate the original ratings, we are including it only to help people save money. These are the factors that will contribute to the scoring:

Speed: When it comes to computing, speed is an important aspect that we can't neglect. It has been reported that some antivirus software are much slower in comparison to other antivirus software. Which means, some antivirus programs slow down a computer. Computer users (specially gamers) like using antivirus software that does not degrade the performance of a computer system. They enjoy using the fastest antivirus software.
Stealth: Many viruses and spyware are designed to deactivate antivirus programs so that they are not detected. Antivirus software should quickly detect such a threat and stop the virus from harming the system files. Those antivirus software will receive higher score that can not only defend against known viruses but also protect a computer system from new and unknown virus and spyware.
Detection: A good antivirus program will quickly detect infection and will take the necessary steps to quarantine the infected files in order to stop the virus from spreading to other system files. Only if security software has the capabilities of detecting infection, it can stop a virus/spyware. So this is a major aspect of security software. Many poorly designed security software cannot detect all forms of threat. However, only those antivirus software will be included in our top ten antivirus 2012 list that are capable of detecting all sorts of threats.
Technical Support: We will also provide scores depending upon the type of technical support and customer service provided by the antivirus software manufacturer. Only those programs will receive higher ratings that are bundled with quality support. We will also count on the type of support available: phone, chat, email, etc. When your computer system is infected with virus, spyware or other forms of malware, you need quick assistance. That's when you need to contact someone who is technically equipped to assist you. Based on the quality of technical support, scores will be provided to various security software and hence will win a rank in our top ten antivirus 2012 list.
Price: Antivirus software should not be too costly, it should be reasonably priced. We will be comparing the price of antivirus software and will be providing scores based upon how cheap is the antivirus software. The cheapest and the best antivirus 2012 will receive higher rankings. People love saving money, so the cheapest antivirus software will receive higher scores.

These are some of the major factors we will be using to rate the best antivirus software of 2012. We will also include other factors like real-time scanning, frequency of updates, blocking phishing attempts, link scanning, IM protection, parental lock and lots more factors. However, we will majorly focus on the 5 key-points mentioned above. Based on these factors, we will provide our lab test reports that will show you which antivirus software is best for your computer in the year 2012. Most antivirus manufacturers will release their 2012 antivirus software sometime in May or June this year. If you have any questions or suggestions about this report of top ten antivirus 2012, please leave your review below by leaving a comment.

Pakistan Beat Bangladesh and Qualify for Super 8

PALLEKELE: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets in a high-scoring Group D match to qualify for the next stage of Super Eight in the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket 2012 here at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing a rather difficult target of 176, Pakistan easily completed their second consecutive victory losing just two wickets with eight balls remaining.

Imran Nazir and captain Mohammad Hafeez batted brilliantly to make 124 runs. This was Pakistan’s second opening partnership and the fourth for any wicket in T20 International cricket.

Imran smashed 72 off 36 balls with three sixes and nine fours whereas Hafeez made 45 with six fours.

Nasir Jamshed and Kamran Akmal scored 29 and 22, respectively and both remained not out.

Earlier, allrounder Shakib Al Hasan smashed a 54-ball 84 to steer Bangladesh to 175-6 in the allotted 20 overs after captain Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and decided to bat first.

This was the 25-year-old left-hander’s second Twenty20 fifty as he added 68 runs for the third wicket with skipper Mushfiqur Rahim (25).

Shakib, whose previous T20 best of 57 came against Ireland at Belfast earlier this year, smashed 11 boundaries and two sixes during his 54-ball knock, improving Nazimuddin's previous best of 81, against Pakistan at Nairobi in 2007.

Pakistan were sloppy in the field, with Sohail Tanveer dropping a sitter off Rahim and Shahid Afridi failing to hold on to a sharp chance off Hasan -- both in one Yasir Arafat over.

New Zealand had already qualified for the round of eight from Group D.

Now Pakistan will play their first match in Super Eight against South Africa on September 28. Later they will face India on September 30 and Australia on October 2.

Google, Gmail blocked in Iran

Tehran: The Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday blocked access to Google’s search page and Gmail service, implementing on the plan to switch its citizens onto a domestic internet network.
Although the Iranian officials said that the steps were taken to improve cyber security of the country but many Iranians fear is the latest way to control their access to the web.
The curbs were announced in a mobile phone text message quoting Abdolsamad Khoramabadi, an adviser to Iran’s public prosecutor’s office and the secretary of an official group tasked with detecting internet content deemed illegal.
“Due to the repeated demands of the people, Google and Gmail will be filtered nationwide. They will remain filtered until further notice,” the message read.
Google’s own website tracking country-by-country access to its services did not immediately reflect the blocks.
Gmail is used by many Iranian businessmen to communicate and exchange documents with foreign companies. Iran’s economy is suffering under Western sanctions that have cut oil exports and made trade more difficult.
Iranian authorities previously and temporarily cut access to Google and Gmail in February, ahead of March parliamentary elections.
Google’s popular YouTube video-sharing site has been continually censored since mid-2009, following protests and opposition claims of vote fraud in the wake of elections that returned president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to power.
Other social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, are also routinely blocked.
Iran is working on rolling out its national intranet that it says will be clean of un-Islamic content. Officials claim it will be faster and more secure, even though users’ data will be more easily subject to monitoring.
