Nation to celebrate 136th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam with traditonal zeal



ISLAMABAD: The 136 birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah would be celebrated by the nation with traditional zeal and enthusiasm.
Citizens would renew their pledge to strictly adhere to the Quaid's golden principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline in order to make Pakistan a stronger, developed and democratic welfare state.

The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for eternal peace of the departed soul of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, progress and prosperity of Pakistan, liberation of the Muslims occupied territories and peace in the country.

It will be a public holiday and the national flag would be hoisted on all public and private buildings on this important occasion.

A number of political, social, cultural and educational organisations have organized different programmes to mark this momentous occasion in a befitting manner.

Panel discussions special dramas, documentaries broadcast of Quaid's speeches will also be aired besides impressions of people from different walks of life about the personality and achievements of the Founder of Pakistan. 

PTV and Radio Pakistan will present special programmes on the life, struggle and achievements of Quaid-e-Azam, while the newspapers will bring out special supplements to highlight this important day.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a towering personality, who had changed the course of history and geography of world through a peaceful struggle.

He stood for constitutionalism, rule of law, respect for human rights, justice for all and equality. This is why his golden slogans of Unity, Faith and Discipline, had inspired the Muslims of the subcontinent to achieve a separate state for themselves in South Asia.

Quaid-e-Azam was a man of principle and a farsighted statesman and even his opponents had acknowledged his flawless and exemplary character.

He not only led the freedom struggle to its successful completion but also took practical steps to determine basic contours of polity.

His thoughts and ideas are a beacon of light for the nation till today and forever.

Similarly, special functions will be also held at all the agencies headquarters where national songs and debate competitions among students will be held.

Speakers will pay homage to the Father of the Nation for his constant and unbendable courage, which resulted in the creation of Pakistan on the world map on August 14, 1947.

In Peshawar, rallies, workshops, seminars and declamation contests has been planned by various social and political organizations to pay homage to the charismatic leader, who envisioned Pakistan as democratic and impregnable muslim welfare state where people could live with peace, equality, love, fraternity and harmony.

The befitting way to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is to build unity, work hard for progress and prosperity of the country, following his golden principles to overcome existing challenges.
