Why Your Social Media Marketing Efforts Aren't Working

If you’re frustrated with the results you’re getting from your social media marketing efforts, you are not alone. Following are some of the top reasons your strategy isn’t working, and how you can turn that around to achieve better results.
1. Lack of Clear Goals: If you’re sharing content on social media networks without a clearly defined end goal, then your efforts are likely being wasted. With social media—or any marketing that you do for your business—you need to choose an intended outcome. Do you want to increase website traffic? Encourage people to sign up for your mailing list? Get exposure for your book? Improve brand recognition? Your goals become the target that you aim for. Without a goal, you might as well shoot arrows up into the sky and hope they land somewhere near the target.

3.  Disconnected from Your Audience: Before you can begin to connect with people via social media, you have to first understand who those people are. You should know your audience intimately and understand who they are, what motivates them, what frustrates them, and what their needs are. These key elements will help you develop and share content that appeals to them.
4. Not Blogging Enough:  At the heart of a solid social media marketing strategy is your blog. You need great content to share, and a reason to bring people back to your site to read more and engage with you. Ideally you should update your blog a minimum of two to three times per week, and then share each new post with your networks.
Also, your content should clearly convey what your brand is about and should appeal to the needs and interests of your target audience. If your content isn’t connecting with your audience, then reconsider your strategy. Perhaps your blog posts need more enticing titles or you need to write more prescriptive content to help your target audience deal with their pain points. Maybe your content is boring! Inject some personality into your efforts, write really great titles, and strive to deliver value.
5. Treat it as an Obligation: If social media is just another item you feel you have to do each day and you resent it, that’s going to come across with your audience. The people and companies that are doing well with social media are the ones who embrace it and enjoy it. Imagine if you treated your clients like they were simply an obligation—they would certainly notice. Find a way to see the value and the fun in social media and allow that to shine through.
6. Lack of Direction: Yes, strategy matters with social media and you have to find one that works for your business. Pay attention to what is working for you and what isn’t, and do more of what works! Or hire an expert to help you craft an effective plan.
7. Missing Cross-Promotion: Let your existing clients and website visitors know about your social media presence and invite them to participate. Feature links to your social media profiles from the header of your website and across all web pages. You can also promote your links in your email signature, print advertisements, electronic newsletter, and other marketing collateral. Most of the major blog platforms have plug-ins that can feature recent Twitter posts on your website sidebar or view your Facebook followers. And don’t forget to add social sharing buttons to your blog and make it easy for readers to share your content with their networks.
8. Not Engaged: If you aren’t responding to your audience, appreciating them, and responding to their questions, then they will go elsewhere. Also, it’s not just about broadcasting your message. You will see far more results when you like and share other people’s content, mention them in your posts, and even recommend their products and services. Imagine if everyone in social media sent a shout out to recommend just one small business each day!

9. Failure to Build Your Audience: With social media, you have to actively recruit followers and fans. For Twitter, I believe in following back the people who follow you. This is good social etiquette, while also letting your audience know that you’re paying attention to them too. For Facebook, you can invest in ads to help get more “Likes” on your page. For LinkedIn, import contacts from your database and proactively send connection requests to people you know. For Google+, add people to your circles. The point is that you need to be proactive in building your audience and not just sit back and wait for them to find you.

10. Partial Effort: One of the biggest complaints I hear about social media is that it takes too much time, which leaves a lot of people either ignoring it altogether or trying to work it into their schedules when convenient. But an inconsistent effort leads to inconsistent results. If you were to commit to engaging with your social media networks on a consistent basis, you could discover a tremendous return on your time investment, and you’d realize it should be a top priority.
Nothing you do in life will produce great results if you aren’t fully committed. And the truth is that social media can be managed for most small businesses in under an hour per day. If you set realistic goals, develop content that appeals to your target audience, and consistently engage with your networks, you will begin to understand the real value that social media can bring to your business.

Google Adsense Account Quick Approval Tips

This guide is completely based on my own experience. I’ve worked with this technique of getting approval of AdSense application many a times for my friends and it worked every time. What I like about this technique is that it is completely genuine & white-hat.

Below are some advantages of this technique:
  1. Quick Approval.
  2. Allowed by Google.
  3. Very Easy to work with.
  4. Easy integration with Blogger and WordPress.
Before I start I want to say that this is a technique which should be used if you’re disappointed every time you apply for AdSense. Now we all know that approval of AdSense account is like a dream come true for the newbie bloggers who has started blogging in order to earn money. But many bloggers don’t possess an approved AdSense account even after applying for many times. And, their dream remains a dream.

Why my AdSense account is disapproved every time?

The only reason for a disapproved account is: AdSense has many rules & policies and here is where we make mistakes. We don’t read the guidelines carefully and as a result get our account disapproved.
Some important guidelines to follow are:
  1. Your blog should contain quality content.
  2. Your blog shouldn’t contain thin content (less than 400 words posts).
  3. Your blog shouldn’t contain adult content.
  4. Your blog posts should not contain any links to low quality / adult sites.
  5. You should provide a valid postal address of yours.
If you are abide by the above guidelines, then there’s more probability that your application will be approved.
After approval of your application ads will not appear right away. Ads will only appear after the 2nd review, review of your site. If Google thinks your site has no copyright content and it is following every AdSense policy, then ads will start appearing. What a moment that will be! I still remember when my ads started appearing after times of submitting my application for AdSense. I didn’t get it approved at once. But it’s not that you will not get approved at once. If you’re OK with each and every policy, ads will start appearing without any issue.

Why my AdSense got deactivated? Why ads are not appearing now?

AdSense may be deactivated because of the following reasons:
  1. Clicking on your own ads.
  2. Placing ads on site containing adult or copyright content.
  3. Encouraging visitors to click on Ads or creating incentives to click on ads.
  4. Using more than recommend ads.

How many ads can be shown per page?

Ads for content: Up to three ad units and three link units may be placed on each page.
Ads for search: A maximum of two Google Custom search boxes may be placed per page.
If you’ve not went against any of the above rules then you can reapply for AdSense here:www.google.com/adsense.
If you’ve a blogger blog then you need to apply or reapply from inside your Earnings tab.
Damn! I’m OK with each and every guideline & I’ve not went against any policy.

Why my account is disapproved then???

It is a very popular question among newbies. But let me tell you that Google also sees the amount of content a site has and the site’s popularity (the no. of visitors it gets daily). I don’t know why they look up to such things; but yes, these things matters.
You may have probably received a notification like this:
The account associated with publisher ID ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has been disapproved.
This problem can be due to an incomplete address or may be because of going against any policy. If you’ve fixed the problems then you can reapply it from inside blogger by clicking on “Google dashboard” present in the Earnings tab (new interface) in blogger or by going to google.com/adsense…
But if you’re getting this notification even after fixing then you can apply with a new email. But, that will take time and result may be the same notification again. So, in order to solve these problems you need to take the help of 3rd party sites like Indyarocks. When you sign up to Indyarocks you need to complete your profile and apply for AdSense. When you do so, AdSense directly gets activated and ads start appearing on your Indyarocks profile. So, without taking much time I am going to tell you the coolest way to get AdSense approved just in a few hours.
You just need to follow these steps to get your account approved:
  1. Create an account on Indyarocks.
  2. Visit your profile & click Earnings.
  3. Now check eligibility to Earn. If you are not eligible then there will be some dos which you have to complete. After doing them checks again and this time you will be eligible to earn.
  4. Now click Start Earning, use your email id & make an AdSense account. (You may require confirming. So, do check your mail.)
  5. After sometime your ads will start appearing on your Indyarocks Profile.
So, your account is approved now. And it’s time to integrate it with Blogger or WordPress.

Integrate with Blogger.

Now it’s time to integrate AdSense to Blogger.
  1. Go to Earnings on your Blog & click “Switch Account”. Then use a different AdSense account if the blogger email id is different. Enter the details & click “Link this Account.” [Check your mail once again]
  2. Make ads appear on your blog by using the options present in the Earnings tab.
Now wait a few hours as some time will require for ads to be displayed on your blog.

Integrate with WordPress.

WordPress don’t require integration. You just need to place ad codes for ads to display in your blog.
  1. Go to www.google.com/adsense & login to your account.
  2. Click on My Ads & create new ads.
  3. Select the size of the ad and click “save and get code”.
  4. Copy the code.
  5. Now go to WordPress dashboard and select plugins.
  6. Click on “Add new” & type “Quick AdSense”. You can also use the “Easy AdSense lite” plugin.
  7. Install any of the two plugin and activate it.
  8. Now go to settings and select the plugin.
  9. Paste the code and select its placement. Then click on save.
Just wait for some time & ads will start appearing on your blog.
So, that’s all you need to do to get your account approved. But always remember not to go against any policy.

Pakistan beat India by 6 wickets in 1st ODI

Pakistan beat India by 6 wickets in their first cricket one-day international match in Chennai today. Nasir Jamshed scored his second ODI hunderd, remained not out at 101 runs and Shoaib Malik at 34 runs.

Earlier, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni single-handedly resurrected India's innings with a defiant unbeaten century as the hosts recovered from a top-order collapse to post a fighting 227/6 against Pakistan in the first cricket one-dayer in Chennai on Sunday.

Pacer Junaid Khan had justified his captain Misbah-ul-Haq's decision to bowl first in damp conditions with a four-wicket haul, which cleaned up the Indian top order, before Dhoni (113 off 125 balls) got going and brought the home team back into the match.
The under-fire skipper, who also completed 7,000 ODI runs during the course of his innings, rescued the hosts with some fine support from Suresh Raina (43) and R Ashwin (31 not out) down the order.
Dhoni and Ashwin shared the best-ever seventh-wicket partnership for India, adding 125 runs.
But to start with, it seemed like a nightmare unfolding for India with struggling opener Virender Sehwag becoming Junaid's first victim.
The Delhi batsman, considered a game-changer for his ability to take the attack to the opposition, swung it Pakistan's way after slogging for 11 balls to get four runs.
The right-hander, already under fire for failing repeatedly in the lost Test series against England, did his reputation no good by failing to pick a Junaid inswinger, which crashed into his middle and off stumps.
What followed was a procession of sorts as the top half of the Indian line-up made quick return to the dressing room.
Big guns such as Gautam Gambhir (8), Virat Kohli (0) and Yuvraj Singh (2) made blink-and-miss appearances as Junaid worked his magic, getting ample support from Mohammed Irfan and pace spearhead Umar Gul.
The big four of the Indian batting order were all bowled, three of them by Junaid, who seemed unplayable in the damp conditions due to overnight rain.
